was always an innate skill

Stretching from our origin story

Twisting in and out of tradition−freestyling

Conceiving new colors in sunlight without permission

Was never a fact worth questioning

Through our peaks and valleys

Hues and cues

Surrounding our ears

Dripping from our necks

and kissing our foreheads…

it is in our breath

from our hands

to the crown of our heads

that know it to be effortless

Only when lost in translation

Does our nature become hardship
